Our Team

Dr Shymaa Hashem

In a rousing game of anywhere but here Shymaa would find herself playing around with (or chasing after) her adorable twin girls at a local park or any green space (probably with some Calamari to snack on).

Lucky for us, she is most often found in the office though some Tuesdays she can be found taking time for a cup of tea and contemplation (probably during nap time). Our team would describe her as simple and easygoing (yes, it’s true!) though you would hear her call herself an avid talker and more avid listener.

She brings her many years of Endodontic (Root Canal) Experience along with her skills in carving and artistry to our dental home. She lives by the motto “Be optimistic, it costs you nothing” which is reflected in her conservative approach to her patients.

You may notice her walking around the neighbourhood in between patients or on her lunch leaving little bags of goodies for the people around her. She is working hard and her goal for the next year is to be named one of the best dentists in Langley.

Dr. Pierre Vigneault

Dr. Pierre Vigneault, as a General Dentist, was a pioneer in the health concern of mercury toxicity. His office has been mercury-free since 1983.

As a member of DOCS (Doctor of Conscious Sedation), Pierre studied in the States to open a window of opportunity to provide a safe, relaxed experience to patients who can correct years of embarrassing problems in one visit, with one pill.  He makes every effort that this same level of care is trained in all the staff and every patient can experience kind, caring treatment.

From Dr. Vigneault:

I am proud to serve patients in our community. Through continuing education and state-of-the-art equipment, my staff and I are able to offer the high level of care you would want in your family dental clinic . It makes my day when I can greet my patients with a warm welcome and ask them for their latest joke.   That is my commitment to a fun anxiety free office.

Dr Vigneault’s visit to Costa Rica included a visit to an animal sanctuary where he befriended a sloth.  Known for their slow behavior, the sloth’s fur could be green from moss growing on their back.

We know Dr Vigneault is a calm guy but he made this sloth even calmer.

Very huggable, this little guy clings on like he was attached to a tree.

Krysta – Receptionist

If Krista was anywhere but here, you could find her by the pool with the Harry Potter book series on her lap, chewing on deep fried pickles and planning her next home reno/reorganization. Sadly, she is not anywhere but here and so she can be found wrangling small children, at the office or cuddled up with her dog.

Her colleagues would describe her as helpful or knowledgeable though you might hear her call herself Mom (capital M) or “The Scheduler”. She brings with her to our office the many years of working with different dentists, working in different capacities and learning that only comes with time.

She lives by the motto “plan for the worst and hope for the best” which should prove useful as she prepares to survive the welcoming of baby no. 3 in February 2020.
